Sea Freight
Our Ocean Freight Departments offer specialist expertise across the complete range of our import and export services for consolidation, groupage / LCL and full container loads as well as out-of-gauge project and heavy lift cargo.
Our secure, scheduled services connect with all main overseas markets. Our regional partners there give us on-the-spot representation, supported by EDI and our interlinked IT systems. They also provide warehousing for exports and imports which complements our own so that we can track and trace shipments from origin through to final destination.

These core activities are supported by our project forwarding departments that are well versed in the co-ordination and shipment of complete industrial plant & components including machinery and heavy lifts. We also supply case making and packing, local delivery, customs clearance and insurance.

Customs liaison and consultancy
We work very closely with HM Customs & Excise and can offer extensive advice on correct duty rates and procedures.
As well as a full customs brokerage service, our main hubs have Direct Trader Input to Customs and are authorised as Inland Clearance Depots (ICDs) or Enhanced Remote Transit Sheds (ERTS).
We also have REDS (Registered Excise Dealer Status) and Customs Warehousing authorisation for bonded goods, as well as developing approved CFSP (Customs Freight Simplified Procedures).
We are also fully authorised by HMC&E to undertake export entries as part of the UK's New Export System (NES).
All of which allow us to provide greater control over your import cargoes.
Hazardous Goods
Legislation requires that all companies distributing goods by road, rail or inland waterways need to appoint a safety advisor with a DGSA certificate. Many companies are now using our Dangerous Goods Consultancy Service to ensure that they meet the legislative requirements.
